I consider myself very lucky. My work is my hobby and my passion! Being a Fitness instructor is more than a job, it is now part of who I am.

Fifteen years ago, I had a good look at who I was and who I wanted to be. It was clear that I did a lot of thinking and talking about the things I wanted and little about doing anything about it. I spent a great deal of time in "poor me" justifications. I blamed other people and circumstances for my weaknesses. I got used to negative patterns of thought.

I reached a point in my life where I felt that a lot of what was not right was in my power to change. I believed that I had the right to happiness and that it was up to me to make the changes. I began to read all kinds of books on positive thinking. Through the readings, I learned that I was master of my destiny. This realization was uplifting and scary at the same time.

After about 5 years of reading and research, I decided that it was now the time to take action. I wrote a list of personal objectives that included some short term attainable ones to some long term "what seemed impossible" ones. Teaching aerobic classes (a silent dream) was one of the latter. I was shy, not particularly fit nor particularly coordinated. By becoming a fitness instructor, I proved to myself that anything is possible. I also discovered that I had a passion for it. (By the way, I attained everyone of my other objectives as well.)

My work is more than simply teaching aerobic classes it represents inner strength and the power to reach dreams.

I don't know what my life would have been like if I had not taken charge of it, 15 years ago. One thing I do know is that we have the power to change it.
